About

Let me start by saying that I’m no authority on fashion. I just enjoy creating looks and even the process of finding each piece of the ensemble – the hunt is equally exciting, sometimes! Clothes have always been a form of self-expression. As a kid, I had carte blanche over dressing myself, oftentimes to the disappointment of my mom. I remember wanting to wear this graphic sweater and black stirrup leggings with white polkadots all the time. I felt so cute in that outfit! My mantra is and will always be, If you look good, then you feel good. We all have agency over how we present ourselves to the world – fashion is the one thing that gives me creative freedom to truly express myself.

I come from a family of style enthusiasts, particularly my Grandmother, a seamstress who could make just about anything. I have vivid memories of her sewing every day and watching Style, hosted by Elsa Klensch – Saturday mornings on CNN (dating myself here). She wore her Muumuu dresses around the house, but when it was time to step out, she did not half step! This was the genesis of my love for fashion.

I studied fashion merchandising in college, but I ultimately received a degree in Communications. How I ended up working in the Financial industry for practically all my work life (my teenage self wouldn’t believe it), is another story. I always kept fashion at the forefront, however. Curating looks for myself and even styling my home, keeps my creative muscles active.

I decided to create this blog to keep myself honest, so to speak. The truth is, styling and writing are two of my favorite things to do and I feel most fulfilled when doing so. If you find anything interesting or inspiring here, that would make my heart  abundantly full.

Sincerely,
Miss Trish
